Your Support Is Essential To Our Mission

The Naptown Philharmonic Orchestra relies on the generosity of supporters like you to continue bringing the thrill and emotion of live music to our community. Your contribution, whether financial or through volunteering, is vital to our mission.

As a 501(c)(3) corporation, the Naptown Philharmonic offers several avenues for financial support: Annual Gifts, the Naptown Philharmonic Endowment Fund, and the Musical Chairs program.

Annual Gifts and Musical Chairs help meet immediate needs, while the Endowment Fund ensures long-term stability and may offer donors financial benefits. Thank you for being part of our journey and for helping sustain the music we love.

Annual Gifts
• Can be made on a monthly or yearly basis
• Help us maintain a balanced budget
• Support our mission of presenting professional, memorable symphonic music
• Enable varied programming across Anne Arundel County and Central Maryland
• Strengthen our region’s arts and cultural community
• Fulfill our commitment to you
Donors receive recognition in our concert program and on our website as well as invitations to periodic special events.

Musical Chairs
Musical Chairs is a new signature giving program designed to provide sponsorship for principal and section members of the Naptown Philharmonic from patrons who would like to invest in the future of live music and honor our talented musicians.
As a community-supported orchestra gaining area-wide recognition in the Mid-Atlantic region, the Musical Chairs program will help ensure that the Naptown Philharmonic continues to offer high-quality performances.

Sponsors may choose a specific instrument to support. Benefits include recognition in concert programs and the opportunity to participate in special events. Our goal is to provide donors with a closer knowledge and connection to the orchestra from the inside out.
Chairs may be designated in your name, your family name, or in the name of another organization. Chairs may also honor the memory of a loved one.

Another Way to Give
Did you know that an IRA Charitable Rollover (also known as a Qualified Charitable Distribution or QCD) allows individuals aged 70 1/2 or older to make income tax-free gifts from a qualified IRA plan directly to a charity of their choosing, even if filing using the standard deduction? It is a little-known process that allows this type of gift to count toward the donor’s Required Minimum Distribution (RMD), if applicable, and is excluded from the donor’s income. The maximum annual exclusion for 2025 is $108,000 for an individual.

Naptown Philharmonic Orchestra is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization that qualifies for this type of tax-free gift made directly from a qualified IRA plan in the form of a QCD. If you are interested in this, please contact your tax advisor AND your IRA custodian for advice and to complete the required distribution form indicating NPO or any other charity or charities that you would like to support. Our EIN number is 75-3125994.

Our team welcomes people with the time and heart to help us grow! We need help with every performance, greeting the audience, taking tickets, and planning and executing special receptions and other events. Interested? Contact us!
